AVE MARIA, Fla. --- Freshman Gabriel Hogan and Claire Hobrock were each named Sun Conference Runners of the Week for the week of Sept. 12 for their efforts in the Florida Tech Invitational last weekend.
 
Hogan led the Gyrenes in AMU's season-opening race, finishing 23rd among 105 at the Florida Tech Invitational with an 8K time of 26:50. Hobrock was the top runner for the Lady Gyrenes, finishing 42nd among 119 runners with a 5K time of 20:56.
 
The Runnin' Gyrenes return to action tonight when they travel to South Bend, Ind., to compete in the National Catholic Cross Country Championships. The women's race begins at 4:15 p.m. while the men's race is set to go off at 5 p.m.
